The installation: "Sea of Light" is the center piece of the show. A 78"L by 76"W translucent wall panel, printed with the wax and pigment medium, collaged with other prints and holographic mylar, will have projected light and sound. The artist statement explains the deeply personal and transformative "happening" by the sea.

Encaustic Demos at the EAI on March 5
"Touched with Fire" offers an introduction to Encaustic.
As part of Albuquerque's Women and Creativity Month (March), is offering two "Touched with Fire" demonstrations of the encaustic (pigmented wax) painting technique by Institute member Harriette Tsosie.
The sessions are Saturday, March 5th from 1:00 - 3:00 PM and from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Admission (pay at the door) of $10 will be used to support the Institute's public education programs.
The Institute is located at 18 County Road 55 A (General Goodwin Road), Cerrillos, New Mexico, 87010. Take Highway 14 South from Santa Fe or North from Albuquerque.

Kim Bernard to talk at the EAI
New England artist Kim Bernard will be in NM teaching a workshop at EAI from Feb. 26-27.

Instead of our regular members program scheduled for the 20th, Kim has agreed to give a talk about her work on Friday, Feb.25 at 5 pm.
