Harriette Tsosie Opens at the Harwood: Part Two
Diptych: An Exhibition in Two Parts
Part Two: "Paper and Wax"
Albuquerque artists Evey Jones and Harriette Tsosie will exhibit works on paper using ink and encaustic (pigmented wax) in the second of a two part “Diptych” exhibition at The Harwood Art Center, 1114 - Seventh Street, Albuquerque, NM 87102-2051.
"Paper and Wax," opens Friday, February 3rd with a reception from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Refreshments will be served and both artists will be in attendance.
In this half of the diptych, the artists continue exploration of their respective media with a new group of paintings and monotypes. Jones' focus remains on themes of change and loss while Tsosie turns her attention to symbols and text, particularly alchemy.
