Winter 2014 edition of EA Magazine is coming in December 2014

The cover art is by Sarah E. Rehmer. The painting is part of a diptych from the collaborative project Dietlind Vander Schaaf is writing about called The Diptych Project II. The title of the piece is Revealing Stories. 

 

We will be sending an announcement email when the magazine has been publishedand available. The magazine is FREE, you just need to register if you haven't already subscribed to previous issues.

Gallery 901 is presenting a National Juried Encaustic Small Works Exhibition. Artists working in encaustic/wax are encouraged to apply. This exhibition is open to all encaustic artists. Artist may enter up to 5 images per entry for jury review.  Selection will be based on submitted images, therefore it is possible for an artist to have more than one piece selected for the show. Selection will be based on submitted images. John Schaeffer and Sherry Ikeda, owners of Gallery 901 will act as jurors.

Eligibility:

Open to all artists 18 years or older, working with or incorporating the encaustic/wax medium into their work, two dimensional will be accepted as well as mixed media, as long as encaustic is one of the primary materials. Up to 5 images per entry will be accepted with a maximum size restriction of 6” x 6” unframed on cradle board. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months. All works in the exhibition must be for sale. Artists will receive 50% of the purchase price with 40% going to the gallery and 5% going to the Espanola Animal Shelter and 5% to the Encaustic Art Institute.
