The Encaustic Art Institute congratulates the following who entered and made it into the final selection of the 3rd Annual Juried Encaustic/Wax Exhibition. Awards given for Best of Show and for
Award for Excellence.
This year Karen Hymer, from (AZ) won Best of Show, with her painting, "Untitled #1, Inner Spaces Series". below left
Kay Hartung, from (MA) won the Award of Excellence, for her painting, "Cells Surfacing 8". below right
The show will hang at the Encaustic Art Institute Gallery - Cerrillos, New Mexico through November 4th. Opening: Saturday, October 5th, from noon - 5 pm. The Gallery is open weekends Noon to 5 pm, or by appointment.
This Exhibition is a remarkable representation of encaustic/wax work, by passionate artists across the country. The diversity of style along with the uniqueness of the medium, makes this show of 49 juried artists a "must see".
