The Encaustic Art Institute Presents 5th Annual National Juried Encaustic/Wax Exhibition October 3rd through the 31st OPENING RECEPTION:  Saturday, October 3rd, 11 am - 5 pm Meet the Artists from Noon to 3 pm

Michelle Hayden, Inner Light, encaustic mixed media, 4" x 12" x 11" Juried by Bruce Helander, Editor-in-Chief of the Art Economist magazine. His work is in over fifty museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, Brooklyn Museum, Smithsonian, and many more.  Bruce narrowed the artists field to fifty-seven, representing nation-wide artists working with encaustic/wax.  The diversity of this medium, (second oldest art form in history), spans both traditional and contemporary styles, including cross-over media.  This Exhibition represents artists from across the nation, including eighteen artists from New Mexico.
