Whether you use a smart phone, point-and-shoot or professional camera to take your photographs, you will enjoy the basics of the ancient encaustic wax process to enhance your images. These fun-filled full day workshops will show you a variety of techniques to apply layers of translucent encasutic wax to your images. Professional photographer and encaustic artist, Angel Wynn, demonstrates a variety of ways to turn your photos into one of a kind artwork.
Start blending images of flowers, trees, people, history and buildings together with wax, pigments, textiles, stencils and textures to create artwork. You can also make a collage piece using photo transfers, images printed on silk and rice paper.
The hands-on workshops are designed for all levels of experience. Complete encaustic supplies and wood boards are included. Participants walk away with 2-3 pieces of finished encaustic art. To provide the best learning experience, classes are limited to only 4 people, so book early to guarantee your spot.
