EAI Member Neranza Noel Blount offers her painting to benefit TN art center affected by last year's fires

The Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville and the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority (McGhee Tyson Airport) present a semi-annual exhibition entitled “Arts in the Airport”.
If her encaustic piece, "Chimney Tops Late Afternoon II" sells before the current show closes on April 18, she will donate all of her commission to help Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts on their recovery from the fire last Fall in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The Alliance is also donating their commission. The Chimney Tops was where the main fire was started.
Even though the exhibit is behind the secure area, if you don't have a ticket to fly, you can still view it if you make an appointment with Becky Huckaby, Director of Public Relations, at (865) 342-3014.
The Chimney Tops is one of the most popular trail destinations in the Great Smoky Mountains. Although the trail is only 2 miles long, it has an elevation gain of 1,700 feet. Her painting from the year before the fire shows one of the views from the top. It has a 3D quality because she attached her original painting, that is also painted on the sides, on top of an enlarged photo of it and then painted it all together so it literally pops. It measures 14 x 11 x 1" not including the frame. It is priced at $465 plus tax and shipping. Contact her at Art@Neranza.com.
