Working Representationally in Encaustic

The Encaustic Art Institute is offering a three-day workshop on working representationally with encaustic. Instructor is acclaimed encaustic master, Francisco Benitez. Benitez studied academic painting techniques and anatomy/figure drawing at the Art Student's League in New York City. He holds a BFA degree from the Department of Art and Art History at the Uniersity of New Mexico and completed independent graduate study in Spain and elsewhere. He exhibits internationally and is reprsented in Santa Fe by Nuart Gallery.

The workshop is slated for Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM daily. Cost is $525 with all materials included. There are a few remaining spaces available. To enroll, go to www.eainm.com and click on the PayPal button. Be sure to specify the name of the workshop.

The Institute is located at 18 County Road 55 A (General Goodwin Road) in Cerrollos, New Mexico, just south of Santa Fe, a major art market. Nearby bed and breakfasts offer unique lodging for a total New Mexico immersion experience.
